There’s life beyond religious control.

Whether you’re thinking about starting your “deconstruction” journey or you’ve been traveling that road for years now, I’d love to support you.

Your Deconstruction Journey

Deconstruction is a liberating, terrifying, exhilarating, and exhausting journey!

There’s nothing quite like starting to feel allowed to question and explore and maybe arrive at different answers from the ones your were given. A whole new world is opened up to you. Suddenly, you’re realizing there are parts of yourself that you haven’t yet met as they’ve been silenced by years of high demand religion. You start to feel what it’s like to use your voice and take up space in ways that weren’t previously allowed. You might experience excitement and feelings of freedom.

At the same time, you might discover feelings of grief, anger, and loneliness. Some people lose parts of their community when deconstructing. Others grieve a life they could have had, had it not been for religion. Others experience anger for the wrongs done against them and those they love.

It can feel overwhelming and dizzying, but I promise every single one of these emotions are okay. You’re allowed to experience what you need to experience.

You don’t have to go it alone.

Challenging our old beliefs and arriving at new ones can be incredibly difficult when we try to do it alone. Therapy for religious trauma, purity culture, and deconstruction can be helpful as you receive support in processing difficult or traumatic memories and voicing fears and anxieties. All you are experiencing and are feeling is welcome here.
